(Have Prevailing Faith)
TO THE BIBLE: Hebrews 11:32-33 NIV
“…What more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions”
LET’S TALK
The Bible is full of amazing stories of people who through faith dominated their world. The eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews chronicles the extraordinary accomplishments of some of these great people of faith.
It tells us how they subdued kingdoms, functioned in righteousness, and stood their ground in the face of staggering opposition.
Today, as we read of their faith and deeds, we get inspired and edified. Let’s reflect a little on a story from the life of one of these great heroes of faith—Joshua.
By faith, Joshua led the children of Israel to march round the fortified walls of Jericho once every day for six days. On the seventh day, after marching round the city seven times, they gave a loud victory shout as the Lord had commanded, and Jericho’s looming walls fell down flat before them (read Joshua 6:16-20).
Through faith, you can do the same to every obstacle, restriction, resistance, or unpleasant circumstance you may be experiencing, and watch it tumble down, right before you!
“Pastor, is it that easy?” you ask. Of course, it is! The same book of Hebrews admonishes us to be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherited what had been promised by God.
Therefore, emulate the faith of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joshua, David, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Apostles.
As you declare faith-filled words, you’ll have the same amazing stories of victory and triumph as you change every hopeless situation around you, and make great things happen.

Speak:
The Word of faith is in my heart and my mouth, and it prevails as I speak it forth. My life is the testimony of God’s grace and a harvest of blessings because I walk by faith in His Word. I’m more than a conqueror, and my faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Hallelujah!
